Start with the product and its box
Send product dimensions, weight and photos, including any insert. Internal size differs from dieline dimensions. For food, pharmaceutical or other specialist packaging, specify contact and storage conditions so materials and construction can be agreed for the application.
Materials, finishing and packaging costs
Price depends on the dieline, board, quantity, print, die cutting, gluing and assembly. Lamination, spot UV, foil and embossing are separately agreed finishes. Tooling and its potential reuse are evaluated after construction approval; a single tooling price cannot cover every dieline.
Box printing — order cycles and stages.
Check construction around the product and agree a sample before placing artwork on the approved dieline. Production then follows the agreed print, finishing, die-cutting and gluing stages. Specify flat blanks or assembled boxes before the run, as this affects work and transport.

Preparing your artwork
Do not create a dieline from product dimensions alone. Supply an approved dieline with separate cut, crease and glue guides. Agree artwork orientation on flaps and edge allowances for the construction.
General requirements: 2 mm bleed on each side, important content at least 3 mm from trim, CMYK images at 300–450 dpi and outlined fonts. Folds, binding and custom dielines need additional agreed allowances.
