Yaskravyi Druk is above all first-class digital printing and fast print services in Kharkiv
For an ordinary client, printing on a digital press means handing over a USB stick with the artwork and instantly getting a set of business cards; "digital" is just a big printer with a few extras... It's a bit more complicated than it seems. Print quality, colour, the evenness of complex gradients and solid fills, fine lines — many factors affect them. Our digital presses are constantly calibrated with special colour scales for accurate colour reproduction and neutral gradients without yellow-green jumps in the most unexpected places.
Our presses are serviced only by qualified specialists. The equipment itself weighs more than 900 kg, which gives it more stable quality on medium and long runs — not everyone realises that the vibration of the machine during printing can sometimes ruin artwork you worked on so carefully. Prepress engineers (printers) know the presses well; for some media the fusing temperature, transfer currents and paper or board speed are adjusted. Sometimes the press is calibrated for specific media, with optimal temperature and current settings. It is also important that the new equipment has presets for 10,000 different media, and its digital scanner analyses the paper or board itself and suggests the closest matches from its huge database.
Our presses
Our presses have special raster image processors (RIP). Setting up the RIP correctly directly affects the quality of the final product. Our new Ricoh C7200x PRO press has one of the most powerful and newest RIP processors from Fiery. This print controller is excellent for variable data printing and printing with an additional 5th colour (white or gloss varnish), and it rasterises photos and small text under 6 pt perfectly. We don't claim our RIP is the best, but test prints from other RIPs were of lower quality than prints from ours (we checked at the REX exhibition in 2018). The quality of business cards or flyers also depends on the colour correction skills of designers and prepress engineers; an incorrectly assigned profile can ruin artwork too. Paradoxically, print quality is also affected by room temperature and humidity, paper moisture, the quality of paper cutting (paper dust), cleanliness, the presence of a humidifier and air purifier, a stable, high-quality mains voltage and many other factors. As a commercial digital printer, we devote a lot of time and attention to all of these issues.
Yaskravyi Druk is a modern fast-turnaround print shop that has worked on the Kharkiv market for more than 15 years.
We do digital printing, general printing and souvenir printing. In July we installed new RICOH equipment and decided to break the usual order of things in the VIP print niche: printing with white and clear gloss varnish on various designer boards, printing in CMYK+WHITE or WHITE+CMYK mode in 1 pass with registration accuracy of at least 0.1 mm. The same feeling: only yesterday such an order took at least 3–5 working days, and today we can offer printing on premium boards, transparent tracing paper, clear self-adhesive film, mirror gold and silver films, spot varnishing on matte or soft-touch lamination — all in 1 working day and from a single sheet. Screen printing in 1 working day, you might say, but it is DIGITAL, which means we can print personal data using white or gloss varnish. We print business cards, premium greeting cards and other non-standard products from a single A3 sheet.
A separate area of our company is T-shirt printing.
We do direct printing on cotton T-shirts on new Epson equipment, with an additional white for printing on dark garments up to A2 format. We also brand clothing with heat-transfer films and print on synthetic sports T-shirts.
We always work on improving our service and speeding up order processing. Our goal is for our clients to get the highest-quality product in the shortest time for a reasonable price.
We can offer printing of packaging, catalogues, menus, notebooks, business cards, stickers, posters, brochures, calendars and much more. Come to our office — we will be glad to see you.
