How to choose a sticker material
Start with the surface and intended conditions: dry packaging, glass, plastic, moisture or frequent rubbing. These determine the base material and whether lamination is needed.
Paper stickers
Self-adhesive paper is an economical option for labels, packaging branding and product identification. The calculator offers standard coated paper and EXTRA paper with a reinforced adhesive layer.
Paper is sensitive to moisture and physical wear. If your sticker will be used in a fridge, outdoors or on a damp surface, tell us when ordering: the material needs to suit those conditions rather than simply carry the EXTRA name.
Where paper stickers are used
Self-adhesive paper is suitable for packaging and product labelling when the sticker will mainly be used in dry conditions.
- Logo stickers for packaging — for boxes, paper bags, envelopes and wrapping paper.
- Product labels — with the product name, ingredients, specifications and manufacturer details.
- Stickers for online shops — parcel branding, “Thank you for your order” stickers and gift packaging.
- Labels for coffee, tea and gift sets — to personalise outer packaging and identify product varieties.
- Stickers for supermarkets and retail stores — product labels, price tags and promotional labels; select stock and adhesive for the surface and intended period of use.
- Barcode and product code stickers — for identifying goods, packages and warehouse stock.
- Gift stickers and bottle labels — personalised designs for gifts, seasonal sets and drinks intended for use in dry conditions.
Stickers on white and clear film
Printing on self-adhesive film suits product labels, branded stickers and identification where a moisture-resistant base matters. White matte and clear Ritrama film are available in the online calculator.
White film
The opaque white base separates the printed image from the surface beneath the label. It suits logos, text and full-colour artwork.
Clear film
Keeps glass, plastic or another surface beneath the sticker visible. The background colour affects the appearance of the image, so agree the artwork and expected result in advance for coloured or dark packaging.
The durability of a finished sticker depends on print protection, the application surface and the conditions of use as well as the base material. Ask a manager about a suitable option for outdoor use, frequent wetting or rubbing.
When to choose film stickers
Choose white or clear film when appearance on the surface, a moisture-resistant base and longer use matter. We select the material and print protection to suit the intended conditions.
- Labels for pharmaceutical products — for tubes, vials and outer packaging. Agree label copy, stock and storage conditions with the customer before printing.
- Cosmetic labels — for bottles, tubes and jars containing creams, shampoos and care products.
- Stickers for bottles and jars — for drinks, sauces and other products in glass or plastic containers.
- Clear logo stickers — for glass and packaging when the surface beneath the label should remain visible.
- Equipment and inventory stickers — logos, identification, instructions and QR codes.
- Branded stickers and sticker packs — for laptops, planners, souvenirs and promotional sets.
- Information stickers — instructions, warnings and indoor signage.
Lamination and image protection
Lamination adds a layer of film over the print. It helps protect the image from abrasion and changes the appearance and feel of the sticker. The calculator offers:
- Gloss — For shine and a more vivid appearance.
- Soft-touch — For a soft, velvety surface.
- Anti-scuff — For a surface with increased scratch resistance.
For matte lamination or a configuration not listed in the calculator, send a request to a manager. Laminating a paper sticker does not replace choosing a suitable base and adhesive for its intended use.
Die-cut stickers and sticker packs
Choose rectangular, round or custom-shaped stickers. A sticker pack can combine several different images on one sheet, each cut to its own contour.
With contour cutting, the stickers remain on a shared liner for easy peeling. If you need separate, fully cut-through pieces, include this in your enquiry so we can agree the finishing and delivery format separately.

How to prepare sticker artwork
Before sending a file, check the finished size, background beyond the cut line and placement of important elements. Our general artwork requirements specify:
- Extend the background 2 mm beyond the cut line on every side.
- Keep text, logos and other important elements at least 3 mm from the finished edge.
- Prepare raster images in CMYK at 300–450 dpi at the intended print size.
- Convert fonts in vector artwork to outlines. For custom-shaped stickers, agree the cutting contour before preparing the sheet layout.
If you do not have artwork, send your logo, text, size and an example of the result you want. A designer can help prepare the file; the scope and cost are agreed separately.
How to order labels or stickers?
- Calculate a standard order. Choose the shape, dimensions, material, lamination and quantity in the calculator. Send non-standard sizes, quantities or finishing formats to a manager for a quote.
- Agree the artwork and terms. Send your file and tell us the application surface, conditions of use and required delivery date. After checking the artwork, we agree the final price and production time.
- Receive your stickers. Collect your order at our Kharkiv office or arrange Nova Poshta shipping across Ukraine. Delivery time is separate from production time.
