Choosing a notebook for your project
For working notes, start with wire binding and choose the opening edge. Consider case binding for a corporate gift, or a soft cover or staples for a compact edition. Glued notepads are another option for short, tear-off notes.
Size, paper and page count
- A6 for short notes and a compact work kit.
- A5 for meetings, learning and daily planning.
- A4 for detailed notes, diagrams and sketches.
Choose blank, lined, squared or custom pages. Discuss uncoated paper for pen and pencil; for a sketchbook, tell us your drawing medium. Select cover and page stocks separately. Specify sheets and pages: a sheet has two sides. Thickness and available page count are confirmed for the binding.
Corporate notebooks and weekly planners in short runs
For a weekly planner or diary, decide on dated or undated pages, layout and logo placement. Price depends on quantity, size, page count, colours, binding and cover finish. Short runs, case binding, stamping and custom sizes are individually quoted; sample copies are agreed separately.

Preparing your artwork
Supply cover and pages as separate files with the page order. Specify the binding edge and agree wire, spine or staple allowances before layout. Include a sample of any repeating page design.
General requirements: 2 mm bleed on each side, important content at least 3 mm from trim, CMYK images at 300–450 dpi and outlined fonts. Folds, binding and custom dielines need additional agreed allowances.
