Choose foil-stamped and screen-printed business cards when stock, texture, relief or a distinctive accent matters. Pricing is individual and depends on board, quantity, colours, dies and the sequence of operations.
Business card embossing and stamping: choose an effect
- Foil stamping transfers foil using a die; colour and shine are selected for the artwork and stock.
- Blind debossing creates an impression without foil; its appearance depends on the board and image detail.
- Raised embossing creates a raised image; tooling and construction are agreed for the project.
A small logo, large lettering and fine elements may need different solutions. Send the artwork and an example of your intended effect so we can select a process rather than just a finishing name.
Choosing foil and board
Gold, silver, coloured and holographic effects look different on white, dark, textured or laminated board. We agree the specific stock, shade and availability using samples.
Several foil colours can require separate dies and extra passes. For repeat orders, check whether the right die is still available and whether the artwork has changed: reuse is not automatic.
Screen-printed business cards
Screen printing applies ink through a stencil and offers combinations of colour and texture, including on dark designer board. We check coverage, detail and colour for the selected stock.
It can be combined with stamping where the construction and production sequence suit the artwork. Digital white printing, clear toner, UV varnish and screen printing are different technologies, selected for the intended result.
Thermography produces raised print using a special powder and heat. Discuss this effect separately if required: it is a different process from raised embossing.
What affects premium business card pricing
- Board and construction: stock, weight, format and number of layers.
- Quantity and sides: run size and one or two processed sides.
- Inks and foil: number of colours and separate applications.
- Dies and preparation: new tooling and artwork requirements.
- Additional finishing: lamination, varnish, edge colouring and other agreed operations.
Timing depends on stock availability, tooling, file preparation and operations. We agree the quote and completion date before production; there is no universal turnaround time for every premium card.

Business card artwork: check before printing
Match the artwork size to the finished card you selected. Our general requirements specify 2 mm bleed on every side and at least 3 mm between important text or logos and the finished edge. For a 90×50 mm card, the file including bleed is 94×54 mm.
Prepare raster images in CMYK at 300–450 dpi at print size and convert fonts in vector files to outlines. If you need design help, send your logo, contact details and preferences; the scope and cost are agreed separately.
For foil, white or clear toner, relief and other finishing, agree the placement of elements and preparation of separate layers. Requirements depend on the chosen process; a screen mock-up of an effect does not replace the production file.

- Receive your order. Collect the cards at our Kharkiv office or arrange Nova Poshta shipping across Ukraine. Delivery time is separate from production time.
